Our eventual goal is to have an all-inclusive wish village, where critically ill children and their families can come and stay and switch off completely, be a million-miles from the hospital environment they are so used to, allowing them to make life-long memories together in a safe environment.
It will be a place where families can be together having the most fun, alongside other families who have had similar challenges; no one needs to ask questions, you all just know what one another has been through. Children will have the confidence to reveal scars when playing in the pool, or remove their wigs because no one will be asking questions.
Everything we do with our beneficiaries already, is building towards the village. We are already offering what we will have in our village, before we have the physical village. The village will be an escape from reality, like being in a fairytale just like the books in our Boredom Busting Packs.
The village will offer experiences tailored to our brave kids and families just like our small granted wishes and gift packs. Our village will build up gradually and will include villas and other buildings designed by our beneficiaries themselves via our technology app – a permanent legacy. They will be able to stay and celebrate a different yearly celebration each night of the week – every week will have a Christmas; not dissimilar to our Year in a Day event.
