EMMETT’S GENIES WISH VILLAGE DRAWING COMPETITION
Use your imagination to draw a villa which children and families would stay in at our future wish village.
Age group categories: 4-7, 8-11, 12-18 years
The winner for each age category will have their drawing transformed into a professional 3D model and will be incorporated into the future wish village.

Terms & Conditions
Entering the Competition
1. The drawing competition (“the competition”) is open to children living in the UK aged between five and eighteen years old (“You”).
2. To enter the Competition, You should finish and submit the drawing so that it arrives at the charity address no later than 14th April 2022.
3. You can enter the Competition by sending your entry to Emmett’s Genies competition, 56 Isis Close, Aylesbury, Bucks. HP21 9LY. You are responsible for the cost of sending your Competition entry to us.
Or email a good quality scanned copy to info@emmettsgenies.co.uk. If you send the entry virtually, you will need to keep the original drawing, in good condition, in case it is a winner and the original is required.
4. When submitting your Competition entry, You must provide your name, age and address
and the name and contact telephone number of your parent or guardian. We will only use this information in relation to the Competition (including checking your eligibility to enter it) and will not use it for any other purposes whatsoever. We will not keep this information for longer than is necessary for the operation of the Competition.
5. You may only send one entry to the Competition.
Picking the winners
6. The Emmett’s Genies Trustees will narrow down the entries for the Competition.
7. The winning entries will be decided by public vote at Emmett’s Genies launch party on 15th May 2022.
8. The decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
9. Publishing the winning entries
10. The winning entries will be published on the Emmett’s Genies website (www.emmettsgenies.co.uk) and on Emmett’s Genies social media pages (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn) in the latter half of May 2022.
11. You own the copyright to your Competition entry as its author.
12. By submitting an entry to the Competition, You give Emmett’s Genies: a. Permission for your entry to be published on Emmett’s Genies website and social media pages and to republish your Competition entry in electronic format and hard copy for purposes connected with the Competition; and b. The right to use your name, age and town or city of residence for the sole purpose of identifying You as the author of your entry.
Getting consent from an adult
13. Sending in an entry to the Competition means that You accept these Terms and Conditions, which are the rules of the Competition. You should check with your parent or guardian that they are happy for You to enter the Competition based on these Terms and Conditions.
14. Emmett’s Genies requires the consent in writing (which may include e-mail) of the parent or guardian of the author of a winning entry to publish that winning entry and the author’s name, age and town or city of residence online.
15. If Emmett’s Genies does not receive written consent (which may include e-mail) from the parent or guardian of the author of a winning entry then we may award the prize to another entry for which we are able to gain such consent.
The Prizes
16. The winners will have their winning design made into a graphic design that will then be used to create a virtual 3D model of a “wish village” villa that features their design by Lynn Palmer Architects Ltd. Then when the future wish village is created, this villa will be incorporated in the village.
17. The parents or guardians of the winners will be notified by email or telephone by 28th May 2022.
18. We will contact the winners when the 3D model of their design has been created and is ready to view.
19. The prizes cannot be exchanged or transferred by You and cannot be redeemed by You for cash or any other prizes.
20. If something unprecidented happens outside of our control, that means this prize is no longer an option, we will substitute the prizes with other prizes.
Some other rules
21. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.
22. We take no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete or cannot be delivered or entered for any technical or other reason. Proof of delivery of the entry is not proof of receipt.
23. Your entry will not be returned to You.
24. Details of the winners will be found on our website www.emmettsgenies.co.uk
25. No purchase is necessary.
26. The Promoter of the Competition is Emmett’s Genies whose address is 56 Isis Close, Aylesbury, Bucks, HP21 9LY.
Any complaints regarding the Competition should be sent to this address.
27. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude the liability of Emmett’s Genies for death, personal injury, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation as a result of its negligence.
28. Emmett’s Genies accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by You as a result of entering the Competition or accepting the prize. Emmett’s Genies further disclaims liability for any injury or damage to You or any other person’s computer relating to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials in connection with the Competition.
29. Emmett’s Genies reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, this Competition with or without prior notice due to reasons outside its control (including, without limitation, in the case of anticipated, suspected or actual fraud). The decision of Emmett’s Genies in all matters under its control is final and binding.
30. Emmett’s Genies shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations where the failure is caused by something outside its reasonable control. Such circumstances shall include, but not be limited to, weather conditions, fire, flood, hurricane, strike, industrial dispute, war, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, inevitable accidents, supervening legislation or any other circumstances amounting to force majeure.
31. The Competition will be governed by English law.
